Bicycle Sales and Service and TREK are commited to healthy life styles.
Bicycle Sales and Service and Vertical Earth Bicycle Shops will be joining forces with several other business
to encourage bicycling in the Coeur d'Alene area. The 2012 Commuter Challenge will ride
from May 1st to August 31st.
The Sunday, July 22, 2012 event will include a t-shirt, drawings, and lunch when you are done.

Two adventure "ride and find" events slated for this spring. April 29th at Newman Lake and May 20th at Great Northern Elementary. Have fun looking for locations
while gettinig a high intensity mountain or cross ride.

Several local businesses have joined together to provide special discounts on selected items to bicycle commuters who pedal to participating shops and stores. These businesses will honor current,date-stamped cards obtained at Bicycle Sales and Service or Vertical Earth bike shops. The bike shops will log you into the challenge and stamp your card daily to show that you are actively commuting. The bicycle commuter can then ride to participating businesses, present their card and receive their discount. Each commuter card has 10 stamps, and when you present a signed, completed card at either Bicycle Sales and Service or Vertical Earth you will be entered into an end-of-season raffle. You can then get a new card and continue the challenge.

Here is more fun! Several businesses will have weekly or monthly Commuter events or specials. These events may require a donation to benefit a program or cause. Or they may just be a celebration and excuse to get together. Either way it will be a ride in-as-you-are fun time!
